Our Company
ThoughtRealm Alliance is a software company that provides custom development and commercial software products for secure, distributed applications. They work equally well over the Internet, a WAN, or a LAN.
The types of applications we develop have traditionally been built using Web based technologies (php, Java, ASP.Net, etc). However, due to security and usability reasons, we utilize our own proprietary technology, Caruso.
Our technology does not use any Web frameworks or underlying architecture; therefore, our applications are not subject to Phishing, Pharming, Cross Site Scripting, nor any of the other many Web site hacking methods that are so widely used.
Currently, our Secure Client (a 4 meg download) will run on Windows 2000 and higher; however, planned future versions will target other environments.
Our growing company is headquartered in Nixa, Missouri
Because ThoughtRealm's Technology is not based on web technologies, it is immune to the sophisticated web hacking techniques commonly applied by the hacking community.
The founders of ThoughtRealm Alliance have spent 20 years in the software industry focusing in vertical application areas that are related to payroll automation and IRS tax filing services. Additionally, they have provided services to several government agencies and educational institutions. These efforts required secure, mission critical support of distributed user needs. As the web evolved in the 90s, they obviously grasped the benefits of the thin-client browser approach, but were keen to the failures of the web technologies as relates to security and an appropriate application based user experience. They asserted at that time that the underlying web architecture itself was the root of the failings and as such could not be resolved by simple changes or additions to those web technologies. During this period they envisioned the need for a new technology that would provide a better environment for hosting distributed applications over the internet.
In response to their vision, TRA was formed with the mission to offer a better, more secure internet experience. By diverging from the status quo web approach, they are able to provide a “more perfect union” of the two driving constraints for distributed business applications; namely, user experience and security.
Caruso Technology Providing the following benefits:
- Is as flexible as a web browser
- Has less I.T. impact (staff and infrastructure) then traditional web applications
- Uses an encrypted connection that is more secure than SSL
- Is as feature rich and responsive as a normal desktop application
The Caruso technology created by the TRA founders, allows TRA to offer its clients a unique approach to distributed software that answers the needs of user friendliness and security. Because Caruso is NOT based on web technologies, it is immune to the sophisticated web hacking techniques commonly applied by the hacking community. While Caruso is not designed to support every application concept, it does offer business applications a superior alternative to the web application genre.
